Southern Oregon Geocaching, The Jackson County Library Services, and The Friends of the Medford Library are excited to present the "Infinite Worlds, Infinite Possibilities" Geocoin Challenge!
The Comic Con Mission Statement from JCLS states "The Medford Comic Con is dedicated to promoting and fostering lifelong learning, connecting people, and celebrating family and community. Our mission is to encourage literacy and innovation through popular media, arts, literature, science & technology, fantasy and science fiction, game play & design in the form of workshops, programming, and exhibitions."
With their Mission Statement in mind, we at Southern Oregon Geocaching wanted to join in and bring our love of the outdoors, connecting people and community with science, technology, and game play, and share it all with cachers new and experienced. We would like to have a small little Meet and Greet with everyone from 11-11:30am and catch up on what's been going on in everyone's caching lives, as well as let everyone know what's on deck in the world of SOGeo. After the event, SocksAndAmanda will be setting up a booth to invite many more people to learn about Geocaching and to hand out challenge passports for the optional Geocoin Challenge
*Challenge Passports can be picked up starting at 11:30 am on Saturday April 27th from the Southern Oregon Geocaching booth, located on the Comic Con grounds at the Jackson County Library / 205 South Central Avenue / Medford / OR / 97501. (Official GPS coordinates will be provided once location has been assigned for event)
*Completed passports can be returned to the SOGeo - Southern Oregon Geocaching booth between 11:30 am to 4 pm Saturday and 11 am to 4 pm Sunday to claim your Special Edition Comic Con Geocoin. Only 200 coins will be available for this challenge.

Come immerse yourself in a world full of superheroes and supervillians, costumes and cosplay, magic and wonder, as you work to find all the clues and solve the passport's mysteries in order to claim your geocoin! A weekend of fun and excitment awaits those that dare brave the unknown possibilities and marvels that will be found downtown around the Jackson County Library. Dust off your superhero suit and cape, dye your hair a wild color, and don't forget to wear your underwear on the outside of your clothes! This Geocoin Challenge will have it all!
