Litter not only blights the environment & makes areas look untidy, it also affects natural habitats & wildlife.
Join us as we clean up the area around Tanfield Lea Park Woods and Harperley Woods.
This event is also part of Durham County Councils Big Spring Clean.
Tanfield Lea CITO - Saturday 4th April 10am until 12 noon
Well behaved Geohounds are welcome along with Geokids.
Litter pickers / gloves and binbags will all be provided courtesy of Tanfield Lea Countryside Group and Durham County Council.
Please bring along a pair of gardening gloves if you have them. It may also be useful to bring along a drink and a snack for yourself.
Please come along dressed for the weather with warm / waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear.
There are lots of parking spaces available in the grounds of Tanfield Lea Club and the surrounding streets. Please park sensibly and considerately of local residents.
This event will make a huge difference to the local area and really make the place nicer for people to cycle, walk and geocache in!
This event is held during CITO Season 1 (1st March to 31st May) so you will gain a souvenir for attending!
