Litter not only blights the environment & makes areas look untidy, it also affects natural habitats & wildlife.
Join us as we clean up the cycle track and surrounding area around South Pelaw and Chester le Street..
This event is also part of Durham County Councils Big Spring Clean.

Well behaved Geohounds are welcome along with Geokids.
Litter pickers / gloves and binbags will all be provided courtesy of Sustrans and Durham County Council.
Please bring along a pair of gardening gloves if you have them. It may also be useful to bring along a drink and a snack for yourself.
Please come along dressed for the weather with warm / waterproof clothing and sturdy footwear.
There are a number of parking spaces available at the hard standing near the entrance to the cycle track. Please park sensibly and considerately of local residents.
This event will make a huge difference to the local area and really make the place nicer for people to cycle, walk and geocache in!
This event is held during CITO Season 1 (1st March to 31st May) so you will gain a souvenir for attending!
