New souvenir: Fun in all directions!
Forward, backward, inside and out! With over 3 million geocaches worldwide, geocaching is fun in all directions. That’s why we’re celebrating 02.02.2020, an international palindrome date, with a new souvenir!
"On Sunday February 2, 2020, find any geocache, Adventure Lab or attend any event to earn the “Fun in all directions” souvenir. You will be awarded the souvenir as soon as you record your find/attended log online".
Parking: Is at the given parking coordinates, please note that you can only access to the site from the dual-carriageway going towards Over round-a-bout, see the waypoint to see where to access the car park. There will be plenty of parking onsite as the rangers will open the barrier to allow parking on the railway sidings.
Where: We will meet at the given coordinates.
What: The project is clearing alder to open up the view into the marsh. They are small saplings, growing densely which we will cut and stack in piles.
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance, gloves, saws and loppers. Please bring your own if you prefer.
Health and Safety: The session and will be covered by council insurance as long as you are working under their instruction.The Park Ranger will introduce the session and do the health and safety bit prior to work commencing. Children will need supervision and pets kept under control.
