About The Tin Pan Alley Band

With some 3,186 band members, we're getting the band back together! The Tin Pan Alley Band is reforming to roam the country and world in 2020/21, while it's traditional home in Denmark Street in London remains under development.

If you didn't manage to sign up to the Tin Pan Alley Band at GC2C1NN before it was archived, don't worry. The band is accepting new applicants.

In fact, we're going to be hosting an audition right here, in the grounds of Swansea Castle. Instruments will be provided - as long as they're air guitars (seriously, don't bring any instruments, muggles will think that you're all buskers!!).

We'll meet, chat about the Band and then at 15:55, we'll hold the audition en-mass. Please let us know if you don't want to be photographed (photos may be posted online). I'll then be dashing to catch the train back to the big smoke.

About the tour

The tour began at the Museum of London on 18 January 2020. We now move to Wales for the first time, home of some of the finest musical acts in the world (I'm a particular fan of the Manics and Catatonia, both of which I've seen live). 

We'll be meeting in the grounds of the ruined Swansea Castle, whose remaining parts date from the 13th/14th centuries. As it stands, this is the second date announced although may yet be the third tour date to the held.
