GEOCACHING POMORZE
zaprasza na spotkanie towarzyszące
GEOCACHING PARTY 2022 - POMORZE
2 maja 2000 r. rząd Stanów Zjednoczonych, na polecenie ówczesnego prezydenta USA Billa Clintona, wyłączył „selektywną dostępność” GPS dla niewojskowego GPS. To natychmiast poprawiło dokładność GPS do kilku metrów.
Ciekawi jesteśmy, kto z uczestników eventu najdłużej ma konto w serwisie geocaching.com - czeka go niespodzianka! Możecie wpisywać daty założenia konta w logach Will Attend :)
Do zobaczenia!
On May 2nd, 2000, the US Government, under an order from then US President Bill Clinton, switched off GPS "selective availability" for non-military GPS. This immediately improved GPS accuracy to within a few metres. The next day, on May 3rd, an American man named Dave Ulmer hid a bucket near a road in the forest outside of Portland, Oregon, and posted the GPS coordinates on the internet - in that way geocaching was born. This geocache became known as "The Original Stash" with the GC code "GCF".
Come along and share your best geocaching stories.
We all wonder who of the event participants has the longest account on geocaching.com - a surprise awaits him! You can enter the dates of account creation in the Will Attend logs :)
See you!
