With a date as rare as this, GC HQ decided to double the fun with a new souvenir! Celebrate Deuces Wild by logging any two geocaches or Event Caches on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 to earn the souvenir. This event will be complemented by the publication of a nearby geocache, so you can "kill two birds with one stone" and get the souvenir!
Bring your geo-family, your geo-friends and your skates. All are welcome! And if you don't skate, you can still come and hang out.
The posted location is for Ben Franklin Skating Rink, at 101 Centrepointe Drive. This is one of the few outdoor rinks in Ottawa with a refrigerated and zamboni-cleaned surface, so the ice here is usually very good. There is a "portable" changing hut, as well as benches outside where you can put on your skates. There is also ample free parking nearby (see waypoint).
This event goes “rain, snow or shine”, but hopefully “shine”.

Community Celebration Events - 2020
