Let's get together and celebrate 20 years of Geocaching with a nice cookout! THIS IS THE CENTRAL EVENT FOR A FIVE EVENT WEEKEND! On Saturday you'll have the opportunity to attend and log three different event types!!
This event will be located at Stockton State Park's South pavilion. We will have the official event from 11:00am-2:00pm, but we have the Pavilion to ourselves all day long. Please just make sure you come to the pavilion for lunch and visit during the official event time. Otherwise come and go as you please.
The South pavilion is located on the south shore of the marina. It's a great place to watch the boats come in and out. There's a fishing dock and kayak ramp at the pavilion for you use as well.
DOOR PRIZES AND FTF HONORS-
There will be door prizes and a FTF honors giveaway for each event! How awesome would it be to claim FTF for a Community Celebration Event?!?
At around 8:00am-ish an event anouncement will be made on each of the day’s events on how to score FTF and a raffle/door prize. Make sure to log your will attends to all five of the weekend events to be in the know!
Prizes include
- One FTF per event, including the Community Celebration Event
- Two large REAL ammo cans. These cans are metal and stocked with swag and are ready to hide. They are painted and decorated for the 20th anniversary of Geocaching. You may want to search out the swag before you drop it off in the woods. If you win one of these there's something special inside for the winner.
- Six very nice trackables. Including official "blue switch 2020" and "20 years of caching tags and coins"
- Official event "logs" from each event. The event "log" is not just a piece of paper and that’s all we have to say about that.
PRIZE OPERTUNITIES-
Get your name in the hat for an ammo can or trackable!
1-As you are caching around the park keep your eyes open and your camera at the ready. Submit your best nature picture you take at the park to receive a chance to win a prize. here's the rules;
Picture must be taken inside Stockton State park.
Picture must be animal(non-human) or plant.
Only one picture per caching account.
Picture must be logged in a "write note" on this cache page before 1:30pm on Saturaday and include words "Nature Picture" only in your note.
2- Go Find GC8TADH. When you log your find post a selfie in your "Found It log" with you or your group at GZ with the obvious important item behind you. This will get you another oportunity to win a prize. All logs posted before 1:30pm Saturaday will be considered.
3-To be the winner of the Grand prize and official log for this event is a number guessing game. Please message me your best guess without going over (price is right rules) and whoever comes closer is the winner. Please have your guess in my 1:30. Here’s the question;
“Number of trail miles in the park times the number of cemeteries in the park minus the number of cemeteries assessable to the public times the number of rentable picnic shelters plus the number of geocaches owned by the state park”

Important info and rules;
This is a BYOB event. We will provide food and non-alcoholic beverages. You may bring you own beer and spirits if you wish. Please be safe and responsible. On Saturday Refreshments will be available from around 9:00am-4:00pm at the South Shelter.
Fishing at Stockton State Park is regulated by the same rules and regulations as anywhere else in Missouri.
Pets are welcome but must be on a leash at all times. Be nice and pick up after your pets please.
No potato salad is allowed at this event.
There is ample parking available. Please do not park on the grass.

The State Park Marina offers slips, watercraft, boat, and equipment rentals. They also manage the rental of cabins and lodge rooms. There is a full-service cafe located at the marina as well. http://www.stocktonstateparkmarina.com/
