It's a great chance to catch up with each other, meet new cachers, swap TB's, puzzle over puzzle caches, and have fun.
Geocaching Quiz
In addition, to celebrate 20 (21?) years of Geocaching we thought we would host a geocaching-themed quiz as part of the Community Celebration Event.
There will be a small prize for the winner(s).
Should you wish to take part, on signing the log, you will be given an activity booklet (One booklet per geocaching ID)
Bring Your Own Pen; and maybe something to lean on
The quiz will be in the form of an 'activity booklet', so people can come and go as they please, and can arrive at any point but completed booklets need to be handed in to the COs by 11am, if you wish to be included in the competition.
You can all work together, however in the event of a draw, there will be a tiebreaker (COs decisions are final).
Tools needed: You may find a device with internet access helpful.
The plan was to have the prize-giving at 11am; but in these strange times, we have decided to allow entries to be recieved up to 11am, and then Diz&Dave will slave over the answers, including the tie-break question, and will announce the winner on this Cache page. The winner will be notified by Geocaching message service.
This is a park, so you my wish to bring your own chairs or blankets. You are also welcome to bring snacks, as nearest refreshments are a short walk up Queen's Road
This event will enable cachers to commemorate the milestone anniversary of geocaching with a special icon and souvenir.
We look forward to seeing you there ...
Please post your 'will attend' to ensure you are notified of any announcements that may need to be made nearer the time. The wet weather â plan is to bring an Umbrella and/or wet weather clothing.
Free parking is available on the streets near the event location, but if we have good â weather then these may be busy. There is also a nearby 'pay and display' carpark and good bus links.
