We all love a chance to gets some hints on those tricky geocache hides, I also love to watch people with their heads together trying to work out a puzzle someone needs to be solved for an upcoming trip. Sharing the funny or embarrassing stories we have about "That one time I was looking for...." and even to get help to fine-tune a hide you have planned.
These are just a few reasons to attend a geocaching event and I shall give you some more: To meet the owners of those sneaky ones, to meet the finders who wrote that hilarious online log about falling into the creek, to look at some trackables and find out different ideas for using them. To be inspired to try a geocache type you haven't done before, to meet some like-minded people you could team up with to tackle a hike not safe for a lone hiker. To be inspired to hike solo!
To sit back and watch others mingle or to test your mind or see how fast you can move, to win a prize, to make new friends, to realise you are a part of a huge community of smart and clever people. To have fun.
You never know what you will come away with from a geocaching event.

Join us please for a relaxing afternoon sitting around chatting about Geocaching. So many adventures! The area I have chosen is good for kids, swimming and fishing. Saint175 will be giving a lesson or 2 on fishing basics for anyone interested If the tide is high, there may be some wading involved. The grass allows wheels to gain access.
During the event there will be opportunity to catch up with some of the CacheQLD committee and you can find out further information about the large event in Dayboro over Easter. (GC8M4ZQ)
This area is central to dozens of geocaches; both on the mainland and the little islands.
There is a Kiosk with Toilets at the top of the Spit, Parking can be an issue here for the weekends so I have given a waypoint of Toilets further down which are much easier to park at.
BYO Chairs, Hats, and Drink Bottles.
Dog are welcome as long as they are on a lead at all times. There is an off-leash area you can use near the Sand Pump behind the kiosk if you wish for them to have a run before or after the event.

We will provide Hand Sanitiser.
Every person is required to write their details on the Contact Tracing Register I will have there, I will keep this secure at home, this will only be passed on to the relevant authority if I am notified of a positive case from an attendee.
I will give YOU my contact details so you can contact me should you become ill.
If you want to wear a face mask and gloves then please do, but they will not be provided at this event.
Please write down how many people you are bringing in your 'Will Attend' log please. The current outdoor event limit is 100.
I will assume your team name is ONE person unless you state otherwise within your log.
We will have a few snacks on the table, please feel free to add to the table if you wish, keeping in mind the restrictions for sharing food.
