This a Community Event BUT it is also a Walking CITO 27 June 2020
What is a walking CITO? well it is collecting rubbish etc while you are walking on one of our many walking tracks in the Manawatu area. This is at Ashhurst Domain.
At this domain there are several walking tracks ranging from 0.5 km to nearly 3kms. Bring the whole family, get the CITO souvenir and meet other geocachers and celebrate being able to be geocaching once again!
We will met together at the given co ords at 1.30pm and then arrange ourselves into appropriate groups, according to the distance you want to walk, set off on our walks- collecting rubbish as we go,- and then all meet back at GZ, at 3.00pm for a BYO afternoon tea- flask, Coffee, tea coke etc etc and perhaps something to share for afternoon tea ie fruit, cake, biscuits, confectionary etc - ( or afternoon tea could be earlier if the longer distance walkers are already back) and we can then share our many geocaching adventures of the day or any other day! There are a few caches around this area if you haven't found them already and a playground for younger members of the group. There is abultion block to wash hands etc.- i will bring soap.
I will bring a folding medium ssized table on which to put our shared afternoon while we discuss what lock down was like, how we solved those many puzzles we worked on during lockdown etc etc
You will need to - A chair or two to put around the table.
a shared afternoon tea. bring your own liquid refreshments. -and or water bottle
have suitable footwear
rain gear ??? There is a shleter for our gathering at the end. .
a suitable bag(s) in which to place the rubbish
disposable gloves
and anything else you think you may need.
