While I'm travelling I like to pick up some key local caches; a range of icon-types, the highest, the most favored... and the oldest. Close to this location is "Hidden beauty spot" from Dec 30th 2001; the oldest surviving cache in Singapore. I'm also planning to pop over to Batam Island (Indonesia) today and holding an event between that cache and the ferry terminal should kill three birds with one stone.
The third being a chance to meet local and visiting cachers on a Sunday morning to exchange Geocaching travel items, and caching stories. I've picked a slightly exposed spot for chit-chat so if the weather isn't ideal, we'll move back to the coast for cover, under the trees. There's several caches in the area, which offers some respite from the bustle of the city.
I hope you'll join me for a quick meet to set up a perfect Sunday from 9.30am-10am January 26th 2020. I may also mention the Geolympix Mega event being held back home in the UK on Sunday August 30th 2020 at the famous Stowe Gardens. Think 'Downton meets Geocaching'!
