Geocache Description:

29 February 2020, 19:00 - 20:00

Would you believe it, that this time last (Leap) year, Team ZACAATT went to their very first Geocaching Event. To celebrate a momentous (four) year(s) of getting to know this amazing community, you are all cordially invited to join Team ZACAATT at the place where it all began.

Where: Sir William Fry Reserve

(Plenty of parking available near the shelter!)

When: February 29th at 7:00-8:00pm

(Yes, that illusive day that only appears once every four years for you to fill for day/month caching table of finds!)

Did you know that every year is actually 365.25 days long? Well, according the The-M-Fam, who hosted the first event attended by Team ZACAATT (lured out of obscurity by the promise of a shiny new souvenir).

If we didn't correct for this difference in time we'd eventually be celebrating Christmas in winter in the year 2736! Those Christmas Carols singing about winter wonderlands would make sense then.

It's not every 4 years as the exact number is 365.2425 so the formula to figure out if it will be a leap year is:
if (year is not exactly divisible by 4) then (it is a common year)
else if (year is not exactly divisible by 100) then (it is a leap year)
else if (year is not exactly divisible by 400) then (it is a common year)
else (it is a leap year)
But the next time this interrupts the 4 year cycle is the year 2100 so no need to worry for a while.

AND –

The most important fact of all:

A BRAND NEW SOUVENIR!
