Geocache Description:

16 May 2020, 17:00 - 22:30

WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!!!

Geocaching has become a massive part of our lives over the last few years from starting off being a free hobby at uni to the 'free hobby' it is now. We got engaged on our first trip to Europe which was our first Mega outside the UK, Bruges Beer VI. We've done so many crazy challenges over the years, 10 Countries in a day, 202 Caches in a day, helping run the 10th Anniversary UK Mega in 2018 to name but a few. We've made some amazing friends over the years and love spending time with you all and hearing about your adventures too.

As many of you know we're getting married in April 2020 and as much as we would love to have a wedding full of geocachers we just can't. So instead we're going to put on a big party afterwards and we're hoping that lots of the caching friends that we've made over the years from near and far can come to join us to celebrate on 16th May 2020. If you're a complete newbie and also want to join us you're welcome too. Cachers are great people and the more the merrier!

The important stuff:

Date: 16th May 2020

Time: 17:00 - last orders (however you don't have to stay all night if you can't or don't want to).

Location: The Hop, 19 Bank St, Wakefield WF1 1EH in The Alter Ego Weekend Bar.

Dress: We will be wearing the same thing we do to our wedding day, so I'll be in my dress and Sam will be in his suit. We would like people to enter into this in the same spirit and use it as an excuse to come in their best, however if you are unable to or don't want to, then we would rather you were there and comfortable than not at all.

Food: We would appreciate if everyone could bring a little food so that we can have a buffet on the evening. No doubt we will cover the main bases, and I know you are all generous people, so please don't go too mad and bring too much.

Drinks: We will have our own private bar area.

Travel and Accommodation: There is a pay and display car park just across the road which is free from 6pm, and is reasonably priced before then. Wakefield Bus Station is a 10 minute walk. By train, Wakefield Westgate is a 5 minute walk and Wakefiled Kirkgate is a 15 minute walk. There are plenty of hotels in and around Wakefield for those who are coming a long way.

Parking: Unity House car park is across the road road but it cannot be accessed from Bank Street by car so just be careful, SatNav will try to send you that way you need to come round onto Smyth Street and Robson Road. Once you've parked you can walk through that way to the pub.

Children and Dogs: Children are welcome as long as they are supervised for the duration - we expect that a number of the adults will want to let their hair down. Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed.
