Circuit Samhain / Hallowe'en
Voici un circuit de géocaching que j'ai mis en place pour Samhain / Hallowe'een 2019. C'est une série de 12 caches, plus un cache Bonus qui peut être trouvé à l'aide des indices des 12 autres caches. Le circuit est long d'environ 5 km et prendrait environ 90 minutes si vous ne vous arrêtiez pas pour des géocaches !
J'ai essayé de donner aux caches un thème Samhain / Hallowe'een et dans les notes pour chacune d'elles j'explique un aspect de l'ancienne fête Européenne. Vous constaterez que ce n'est pas un festival américain commercial de bonbons et de dechets en plastique. Ses racines sont anciennes, il incorpore de nombreuses traditions des cultures Celtiques, Grecques et Romaines et probablement bien avant celles-ci.
Chaque cache contient un numéro qui peut être utilisé pour calculer les coordonnées du cache de bonus, alors notez-les sur votre chemin. n'oubliez pas un stylo et une pince à épiler.
Cache 5 - Le Labyrinthe
Le Labyrinthe est un autre symbole ancien lié à la mort et à la transition. Des gravures en labyrinthe ont été découvertes de il y a 4500 ans. Comme la spirale, elle représente le mouvement continu de l'énergie vers l'extérieur et vers l'intérieur. Et le labyrinthe est un symbole de transition, un voyage entre deux états, souvent périlleux et semé d'obstacles. Il a souvent été utilisé pour représenter le voyage entre la vie et le monde souterrain dans l'art et la littérature.
Le Labyrinthe est aussi une méditation. Marcher ou contempler le labyrinthe est un moment hors du temps, qui peut être utilisé pour réfléchir sur la vie et la mort.
Ce cache contient un puzzle qui doit être résolu pour signer le journal et accéder au code du cache Bonus. Je vous suggère de prendre le temps de le résoudre comme un temps de méditation. Si vous ne parvenez pas à le résoudre, ne le forcez pas ou ne le brisez pas en frustration. La solution peut être trouvée dans le cache suivant si nécessaire !
Samhain / Hallowe'en Circuit
This is a geocaching circuit I put in place for Samhain / Hallowe'en 2019. It's a series of 12 caches, plus a Bonus cache which can be found with the help of clues from the other 12 caches. The circuit is about 5km long, and would take roughly 90 minutes to complete if you weren't stopping for geocaches!
I have tried to give the caches a Samhain / Hallowe'en theme and in the notes for each I explain an aspect of the ancient European festival. You will find that it is not a commercial American sweets and plastic tat festival. Its roots are ancient, it incorporates many traditions from Celtic, Greek and Roman cultures and probably long before even those.
Each Cache contains a number which can be used to calculate the co-ordinates of the Bonus Cache so note these down on your way. don't forget a pen and tweezers
Cache 5 - The Labyrinth
The Labyrinth is another ancient symbol connected with death and transition. Labyrinth carvings have been found dating back 4500 years. Like the spiral it represents the continuing outward and inward movement of energy. And the labyrinth is a symbol of transition, a journey between two states, often perilous and fraught with obstacles. It has frequently been used to represent the journey between life and the Underworld in art and literature.
The Labyrinth is also a meditation. Walking or contemplating the labyrinth is a moment outside time, which can be used to ponder life and death.
This cache contains a puzzle which must be solved to sign the log and access the code for the Bonus cache. I suggest that you take the time of solving it as a time of meditation. If you are unable to solve it please do not force or break it in frustration. The solution can be found in the next cache if needed!
