So its the night before Burns Night..........
When all across the globe, the famous bard is remembered, whisky is drank, haggis is eaten and the banter is good.
I plan to be up high on the hills above Yorkshire this evening, and shall be sitting down infront of a fire, with a dram and a plate of haggis, neeps and tatties. Come along, talk caching, have a dram and enjoy the banter.
So what to expect?
Well, a warm welcome.
A bit of haggis, neeps and tatties.
A dram.
Talk of caching, bothies, the outdoors.
Perhaps a recital by a son of Burns country himself about a timid wee moose.......
You will need to come prepared though - the location is high on the hills, and it is winter - you need to be prepared for rain, snow, ice. It is not a guided walk, you need to be able to get yourself onto the hill and off it. There is an open shelter nearby where I plan to overnight, but if you intend to stay over, I would advise bringing a tent.
