So we're close to the end of September and our 30 Days of Events. This is the last weekend day of the month, and many of us get in the bulk of our caching during weekends. The 30 events have been scattered across the state (or just outside); we wanted to schedule an event that was as smack dab in the middle of the state as we could determine. There is no actual "dead center" of New Hampshire - where it drops is determined by how the state is measured. For arguments sake, we'll say we're close enough, and hopefully this spot will be scenic enough to settle most arguments.
It's been noted that hunting season is active at the time of this Event. Here is the NH State website listing hunting begin and end dates:
https://www.wildlife.state.nh.us/hunting/hunt-dates.html
Our recommendation is that any attendee bring and wear a Hunters Orange vest and optionally an Orange hat.
There is an existing cache very close by. As of the submission date of this event it's had only 32 finds in six years, so hopefully it'll be a new find for some of us. There'll be some color, and we'll gamble that the weather will present us with a spectacular late September afternoon.
No food, no drink, no raffles - this is just a quick Geocaching get together in the center of one of the greatest places on earth - New Hampshire USA!
