We geocachers love reaching milestone find numbers and the caches we consider special to us as milestone finds. A few weeks ago I was reading through a cache log and noticed that someone had just passed 50,000 caches! Wow! I wondered if the cacher had anyone to celebrate this with them? Truthfully (and unfortunately), most of us will never have a Golden Ammo Can placed in our honor. In fact, I imagine most of us reach milestones and few of our fellow cachers know about it to share the occassion. This is sad! So, I say we get together and celebrate our milestones!
In the last few weeks/months/this past year have you reached a special to you milestone (I know you're out there!)? Do you only have a few more (or a 100 more) finds to reach a milestone? I want to celebrate them all! It doesn't have to be the usual entry into the "Comma Club" or a huge number like 50,000 (no offense intended to our fellow cachers who have reached these numbers!). YOUR milestone could be 5, 60k, 3k, 400, 50, 2, 750, 5k, 241, 99 or 10! Further, if you'd like to share why you picked the corresponding cache we'd love to hear those stories, as well.
The venue is in public park with plenty of free parking available. There is a gazebo for us to use. It has 5 standard picnic tables under it. If you'd like to bring along a chair in case we run out of picnic table room (I hope) that's good, too. As usual, bring along TBs and pathtags to share and discover. You may bring a yummy snack to share but, you aren't required to. We will be providing cold water and a celebration cake, forks, plates an napkins.
