Geocache Description:

This is a virtual cache in a park-like setting. It offers you an interesting history lesson if you take a little extra time.

NOTE: To claim this cache, EACH FINDER must e-mail me the answer to this question: How "deep" is the cave? E-MAIL YOUR ANSWER FIRST, then immediately post your log. Logs for which I have not first received a correct e-mail from each poster will be deleted without question!

Several cache sites have encouraged me to explore some of the history that's in our own backyard. Here you'll find history that includes the founder of Louisville, Civil War generals, the author of the Happy Birthday song, and the founder of KY Fried Chicken, Col. Harland Sanders.

In 1848, the rural Cave Hill Farm in Louisville became Cave Hill Cemetery. This is your cache site.

Be respectful, but enjoy the history and park-like settings. Note that bikes and motorcycles are prohibited and hours are 8:00 to 4:45.
