Geocachers of Long Island
Inaugural Event!
That's right! There's a new geocaching organization for Long Island geocachers! Long Island has such a large, active, diverse and just overall great community of geocachers. Long Islanders have found over 100,000 caches, placed over 50,000 caches, hosted several hundred events, and that’s just Marilyn and Bob alone! The rest of us are pretty darn awesome as well. We deserve an active geocaching organization - Right? Right! Well now we have one!
Geocachers of Long Island, or GoLI, was created to: a) support, promote and enhance geocaching on Long Island by encouraging an active, helpful and fun geocaching community; b) create fun, educational and social geocaching events; and c) be an advocate for geocaching with property managers, government agencies and the general public.
More about GoLI and its specific objectives and purposes can be found at the GoLI website GeocachersofLI.org.
