Francis Makemie was born in Ramelton, County Donegal, Ireland in
1658(?), was educated at Glasgow University, Scotland and came as
an ordained Evangelist to the American Colonies in 1683 at the
request of Col. William Stevens of Rehobeth, Maryland. Remembered
as the Chief Founder of organized Presbytery in America and as the
First Moderator of the General Presbytery which met in Philadelphia
in 1706. This was the first inter-colony body free of European
control and was an early influence toward a nation UNITED and
FREE.
Take time and visit the park. Please note, Mosiquitos are in

12/29/02 :: Changed to a large tupperware container, and rehid
the cache very near the original spot.
11/24/04 :: Changed location of cache, due a new fence going up
near cache home. Please be careful removing cache, I found sliding
it is best. Have fun
04/08/07 :: Changed container to M&M tube, which is dark
brown so it will stand out in the snow if dropped. In the summer
months it may not be as noticeable (lol).
