Nice hill, castle ruin and view in Cserhat mountains, with andezit flow.
Szanda castle located in the middle of Cserhat mountain. One of highest point of the region. (529m ASL). From the route there is a 2.4 km walk with approx. 200m level difference.
The first mention is from 1301, as "Castellanus de Zonda" . After a busy perion it was destroyed in 1551. More info on (visit link) site.
Nowadays there are interesting ruins and extremely fine 360 degree panorama can be found!
The cache is hiding in the inner wall of the round-shape bastei.
