Geocache Description:

Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest is located just off of the A21 at Flimwell in E.Sussex. The Forest is open everyday (except Christmas Day) and offers a fantastic recreation facility for those who love the outdoors and there are trails for Horse riding, Walking, Running, Family cycling, mountain biking or just walking the dog. There are also several adventure playgrounds on site for children. The Visitor Centre has a cafe, toilets and an information point. Vehicle admission fee is £3 for those leaving before 11am but otherwise cars leaving after 11 will be subject to the daily rate of £10 mon-fri during term time and £13 weekends, school holidays and bank holidays which entitles you to free entry to the Forest and Pinetum. The post code is TN17 2SJ. The Pinetum may close in extreme weather, and due to popularity, they occasionally have to close their car parks. Please contact the Forestry Commission for car park opening times which vary throughout the year. All of the caches are set in the Pinetum so you must watch out for muggles, who can appear quickly. Please be vigilant! Some caches are set under trees so please consider this with GPS co-ordinates, some co-ordinates can change according to tree cover. Most of the cache titles can be used as hints. Picnickers are welcome but please ensure that you take all of your litter away with you and respect the codes of the forest. Walking boots/wellies are advisable in wet weather. The Pinetum is suitable for wheelchair users and for pushchairs. There are some fairly steep slopes in places but no climbing is necessary. Dogs are allowed in the Pinetum but MUST be kept on leads. This Cache is placed with the kind permission of Forestry England
