Schloss Blatten
Das Wahrzeichen von Oberriet, einst stolze Burgfestung, hat eine bewegte Geschichte hinter sich. Um 1230 wurde sie von Abt Berchtold von Falkenstein zur Verteidigung seines Besitzes erbaut. Die Burg erlebte mehrere Grundbesitzer und wurde 1799 im Kampf um die Fähre Blatten in Brand geschossen. Die erhaltenen Reste bestehen aus Teilen des Turms und des Burgrings sowie des Gewölbekellers. Die Burgruine befindet sich im südlichsten Teil der Gemeinde Oberriet auf dem Blattenberg, idyllisch am Waldrand gelegen.

Positioniert euch so dass der Turm im Bild sichtbar ist, somit wissen wir das ihr vor Ort gewesen seid. Ein vollständiges Bild von euch selbst wäre schön, ist aber keine Bedingung.

Castle Blatten
The landmark of Oberriet, once a proud castle fortress, has a rich history behind it. It was built around 1230 by Abbot Berchtold von Falkenstein for defense his property. The castle experienced several landowners and was shot in 1799 in the fight for the ferry Blatten on fire. The preserved remains consist of parts of the tower and the castle ring as well as the vaulted cellar. The castle ruins are located in the southernmost part of the village Oberriet on the Blattenberg, idyllically situated on the edge of the forest.
