I grew up in Oudtshoorn and this suspension bridge always reminds me of my childhood.
Our parents always told us not to rock the bridge!
When you cross the bridge you’ll know what I’m talking about 😊
During recent visits I noticed that the bridge was restored to it’s former glory.
The bridge was completed in 1914 and has been described as 'one of the most elegant of its type in South Africa'. The bridge was declared a National Monument in 1964 (it is a Provincial Heritage Site under current legislation). Click here for more details via Artefacts

1. On the western side of the bridge there is a ramp with wooden slates not part of the suspension bridge. Count the number of wooden slates.
2. At the same location there is an inscription in the cement. Who is Pedro’s true love?
