Sú symboly, ktoré sú typické pre určité miesta, či mestá. Keď sa povie Eiffelovka, každý vie, že je v Paríži. Najznámejšia šikmá veža je v Pise. Aj kráľovské mesto Levoča má takéto symboly, ktoré sú pre ňu typické.
Vašou úlohou tejto virtuálky bude nájsť päť najznámejších symbolov a vyfotografovať sa pri nich aj s ich typickými atribútmi, ktoré by ste mohli mať so sebou a sú popísané pri jednotlivých úlohách. Príslušné atribúty sú bežné predmety, ktoré často máte pri sebe! Veríme, že sa zabavíte aj takýmto virtuálnym spôsobom! Ak sa Vám keška páčila, budeme radi, ak ju odmeníte milým logom alebo favoritným bodíkom.
Na uznanie logu je potrebné priložiť 5 fotografií k Vášmu logu, kde bude vidno symbol a jeho atribút. Vašu tvár na fotografiách nemusí byť vidno (kvôli zachovaniu anonymity). Všimnite si, že je potrebné aj navštíviť Historickú radnicu počas jej otváracích hodín (denne od 9 do 17 hod.) kvôli jednej úlohe! Nezabudnite, že múzeum v radnici je každú prvú nedeľu v mesiaci otvorené zadarmo!
1. symbol: Majster Pavol z Levoče
Jeho meno je legenda nielen v slovenských dejinách! Pred 500 rokmi vytvoril v Levoči najvyšší drevený gotický oltár na svete, ktorý sa nachádza v Bazilike sv. Jakuba. Jeho meno sa spája okrem Levoče i s ďalšími nádhernými dielami najmä na Spiši a východnom Slovensku. Viac sa o jeho tvorbe a živote môžete dozvedieť v Dome Majstra Pavla, kde je zriadené múzeum.
ÚLOHA: Na súradniciach sa nachádza kamenná tabuľa (vpravo od vchodu) s odliatkom vyrytej značky ("firemného loga") Majstra Pavla, na ktorej sú znázornené prekrížené rezbárske nástroje. Vašou úlohou bude na fotografii zachytiť tento symbol a nejaký nástroj (napr. nôž, skrutkovač, nožničky, pero, ruka, sekera nakreslená na papieri, atď...).
2. symbol: Levočská biela pani
Nie každý vie, že ide o Julianu Korponayovú (rod. Géczyovú), ale medzi ľuďmi je známejšia legenda o žene, ktorá v noci zradila mesto tým, že pustila nepriateľské vojsko tajnou bránou do mesta. Levočskej bielej panej sme venovali aj 2 kešky: GC32048 a GC6NA38.
ÚLOHA: Na súradniciach sa nachádza Historická radnica, ktorá je denne otvorená od 9 do 17 hod. V nej je umiestnený aj obraz Levočskej bielej panej, ktorý nájdete na chodbe oproti kase na ľavej stene. K obrazu sa dostanete aj bez zaplatenia vstupného, ak sprievodcom v kase vysvetlite, že to potrebujete kvôli keške (vedia už o tom a ochotne Vám to dovolia). Vašou úlohou bude odfotografovať sa pri obraze a v ruke by ste mohli držať nejaký kľúč, lebo na obraze zjavne chýba a Levočská biela pani určite bez kľúča neodomkla dvere.
3. symbol: Svätý Jakub Starší
Je patrónom pútnikov, robotníkov i nášho pútnického mesta, ktoré je známe najväčšou mariánskou púťou na Slovensku (konajúca sa každý prvý júlový víkend na Mariánskej hore). Cez Levoču prechádza i svätojakubská cesta vedúca do Santiago de Compostela. Typickými atribútmi tohto svätca je mušľa hrebenatka a pútnická palica. Môžete si všimnúť tieto mušle na mnohých levočských meštianskych domoch. Jedno z vysvetlení je, aby ich patrón Levoče ochraňoval.
ÚLOHA: Na súradniciach sa nachádza socha sv. Jakuba Staršieho (vľavo od vchodu do veže). Vašou úlohou bude na fotografii zachytiť túto sochu svätca a jeden z jeho atribútov (hocijaká mušľa, alebo palica alebo môže byť aj batoh), ktorý by ste mohli mať so sebou alebo ho v okolí určite nájdete.
4. symbol: Klietka hanby
Spolu s Historickou radnicou je neodmysliteľnou súčasťou mnohých pamätných fotiek z Levoče. Nie nadarmo patria k najfotografovanejším objektom na Slovensku. Klietka slúžila nielen na vystavenie obvineného verejnej potupe, ale zároveň i ako výstraha pre ostatných. Na potrestaných mohla verejnosť aj pľuť. Trest sa často vykonával počas jarmokov, kedy bolo na námestí veľké množstvo ľudí.
ÚLOHA: Na súradniciach je klietka hanby. Vašou úlohou je vyfotografovať sa pred klietkou alebo aj v klietke (ak bude otvorená), ale bolo by skvelé, keby ste mali zviazané ruky alebo nohy (šatkou, šnúrkou od topánok, opaskom,...) kvôli tematike kešky.
5. symbol: Váš symbol
Levoča je plná zaujímavých miest, nielen na námestí, ale aj v priľahlých uličkách, na hradbách,... Mohli by sme Vám vymyslieť ešte veľa úloh, ale poslednú úlohu si vyberiete Vy. Zaujímalo by nás, čo Vás najviac zaujalo v Levoči. Môže to byť aj nejaký detail, skrátka hocičo. No keď sa na tú fotografiu pozriete doma aj po rokoch, pripomenie Vám to Levoču.
ÚLOHA: Vašou úlohou bude vyfotografovať Váš vybraný symbol a k nemu priložiť Váš spoznávací kešerský znak (osobnú geomincu, na papieri napisaný Váš nick,...).

Symbols of Levoča
Some symbols are characteristical for certain places or even cities. When you say the Eiffel Tower, everyone knows it's in Paris. The most famous leaning tower is in Pisa. This royal town of Levoča has also such symbols that are typical for.
Your task for this virtual cache is to find the five most famous symbols and take pictures of them with its typical attributes that you might have with you and are described in each task below. The attributes are common items that you often carry with you! We hope you will have fun in such a virtual way! If you liked the cache, we'd love it if you would reward it with a nice log or a favourite point.
To accept the log, you must attach 5 photos to your log where the symbol and its attribute are visible. Your face may not be visible in the photos (to stay anonymous). Notice it's also required to visit the Old Town Hall during its opening hours (daily from 9 am to 5 pm) due to one task! Don't forget the museum in the Town Hall is open for free every first Sunday of the month!
1st symbol: Master Paul of Levoča
His name is legendary not only in Slovak history! 500 years ago in Levoča, he created the highest wooden Gothic altar in the world, located in the Basilica of St. James. His name is associated with Levoča and other beautiful works especially in Spiš and eastern Slovakia. You can learn more about his work and life at the Master Paul's House, where a museum is set up.
TASK: At the coordinates, there is a stone board (to the right of the entrance) with a cast of the Master Paul's carved brand ("company logo"), which shows crossed carving tools. Your task is to capture this symbol and any tool in the photo (e.g. knife, screwdriver, scissors, pen, hand, axe drawn on paper, etc...).
2nd symbol: White Lady of Levoča
Not everyone knows that she is Julian Korponay (née Géczy) but there is a more famous legend among people about a woman who betrayed this town at night by letting the enemy army through the secret gate into the town. We've also dedicated two caches to the White Lady of Levoča: GC32048 and GC6NA38.
TASK: The Old Town Hall is located at the coordinates and is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm. There is also a painting of the White Lady of Levoča in the corridor opposite the museum cashier's desk on the left wall. You can get to the painting without paying the admission fee if you explain to the cashiers/guides that you need it because of the cache (they already know about it and are willing to allow you it). Your task is to take a picture of the painting and you could hold a key in your hand because it's missing obviously in the painting and the White Lady of Levoča certainly didn't unlock the door without any key.
3rd symbol: St. James the Greater
He is the patron saint of pilgrims, workers and our pilgrimage town, which is known for the biggest Marian pilgrimage in Slovakia (held on Marian hill every first weekend in July). Via Levoča, there is a Way of Saint James leading to Santiago de Compostela. Typical attributes of this saint are the scallop shell and pilgrim's stick. You can notice these shells at many Levoča townhouses on their facades. One explanation is that the patron of Levoča protects these houses.
TASK: There is a statue of St. James the Greater (to the left of the tower entrance). Your task is to capture this statue of the saint and one of his attributes (any shell, or stick, or even a backpack) that you might have with you or you will surely find it somewhere around.
4th symbol: Cage of Shame
Together with the Old Town Hall, they are an inseparable part of many memorial photos from Levoča. Not for nothing, they are one of the most photographed objects in Slovakia. The cage served not only to expose the accused to public shame but also as a warning to others. The public could spit at the punished as well. The punishment was often carried out during craft fairs when there were a large number of people in the downtown.
TASK: There is the Cage of Shame at the coordinates. Your task is to take pictures in front of the cage or even in the cage (if it is open) but it would be great if you had your hands or feet tied (by a scarf, shoelace, belt,...) because of the geocache theme.
5th symbol: Your symbol
Levoča is full of interesting places not only in the downtown but also in the adjacent streets, on the city walls... We could come up with lots of tasks for you, but the last task is yours. We would like to know what interests you most in Levoča. It could be some detail or anything else. But if you look at the photo at home even after years, it reminds you of Levoča.
TASK: Your task is to take a picture of your chosen symbol and enclose your geocaching signature (personal geocoin, your nick on the paper,...).
