Cette grotte est une vaste échancrure dans le rocher, creusée par les flots, située en contrebas de la promenade faisant suite à la plage de Saint-Énogat.
Il faut emprunter un escalier de 30 marches taillées dans le roc.
On y aurait vu des formes irréelles sortir de la fente du roc, que les marins de Saint-Énogat auraient prises pour des fées.

La chambre noire des frères Lumière
Été 1877, Auguste et Louis Lumière, inventeurs du cinématographe, âgés respectivement de 17 et 13ans, passent leurs vacances à Saint-Énogat. Cherchant un lieu sombre pour développer leurs plaques photographiques, ils se réfugient au fond de la grotte de la Goule es Fées.
Mais peu à peu, la marée monte et obstrue l’entrée. Les deux frères, pris au piège, se font alors le serment, au cas où ils s’en sortent, de ne jamais séparer leurs deux prénoms et de signer conjointement les inventions qu’ils feront dans l’avenir. L’eau redescend, et les frères au nom prédestiné quittent la grotte, faisant office de chambre noire: les frères Lumière sont nés. Ils feront ici même leurs premiers essais de développement de photographie couleur. Des essais qui seront couronnés de succès quelques années plus tard.

The dark room of the Lumière brothers
In the summer of 1877, Auguste and Louis Lumière, inventors of cinematograph, aged 17 and 13 respectively, spent their holidays in Saint-Énogat. Seeking a dark place to develop their photographic plates, they take refuge at the bottom of the cave of La Goule es Fées .

The two brothers are trapped, they take the oath in case they get away to never separate their two names and to jointly sign the inventions they will make in the future. The water comes down again, and the brothers with the predestined name leave the cave, acting as a dark room: the Lumière brothers are born. They will be doing their first color photography development here also. Trials that will be successful a few years later.

Attention vous devez uniquement faire cette cache virtuelle en marée descendante ou basse.
A cette endroit la mer monte très vite, il y a un décalage avec l'horaire de la marée haute de 2 heures.
Si marée haute à 18 h 00 la grotte se rempli à 16 h 00

Déconseillé aux enfants de moins de 10 ans et à deux c'est mieux

Vous devez entrer dans la grotte.
Tout au fond à environ 30 mètres de l'entrée.
Que voyez vous d'inhabituel ? Prendre une photo et me l'envoyer par la messagerie geocaching ou mail.
Combien en voyez vous ?
Obligatoire : Faites une photo aux coordonnées GPS à l'entrée DE LA GROTTE
Photos d'un objet personnel sur place. Par exemple un objet voyageur ou une feuille de papier avec le nom d'utilisateur du géocacheur.
