Blumenau
Blumenau é conhecida pela identidade e por suas origens europeias. A cidade foi colonizada em 1850 pelo médico farmacêutico e filósofo alemão Dr. Hermann Bruno Otto Blumenau, que no dia 2 de setembro daquele ano, chegou à cidade acompanhado de outros 17 colonos, também provenientes da Alemanha. Mais tarde, chegaram mais imigrantes vindos da Itália e Polônia.
No turismo, Blumenau possui uma série de atrativos, eventos, festas e festivais responsáveis pelo incremento da economia local e movimentação de milhares de turistas durante todo o ano. Entre as festas e festivais se destacam a Oktoberfest, maior festa alemã da América do Sul, o Festival Brasileiro da Cerveja, Sommerfest, Magia de Natal e Weihnachtsdorf (Vila de Natal), Osterdorf (Vila de Páscoa) entre outros.
Blumenau é oficialmente a Capital Brasileira da Cerveja e possui uma grande diversidade de cervejarias artesanais espalhadas pela cidade e em municípios vizinhos. Blumenau também possui muitos museus, igrejas, praças, atrativos naturais, monumentos, além da arquitetura, já que muitas casas carregam o estilo enxaimel característico da Alemanha.

O único cemitério de gatos do mundo
A paixão que Edith Gaertner tinha pelos gatos resultou no único cemitério de felinos no mundo. Ela era sobrinha-neta do fundador da cidade, Dr. Hermann Blumenau. Sempre que um de seus gatos morria, Edith enterrava os bichanos no terreno dos fundos de sua casa. Em sua época, eram cerca de 50 sepulturas, mas apenas nove restam preservadas. Todas as lápides são identificadas com os nomes dos bichinhos. Atualmente o local é conhecido como Cemitério dos Gatos e pode ser visitado no Parque Edith Gaertner, na Alameda Duque de Caxias, 78, bem no centro de Blumenau.

The only cat cemetery in the world
Edith Gaertner's passion for cats resulted in the only feline graveyard in the world. She was the grand-niece of the founder of the city, Dr. Hermann Blumenau. Whenever one of her cats died, Edith buried the pussies in the backyard. In his time, they were about 50 graves, but only nine remain preserved. All headstones are identified with the names of the animals. The site is now known as the Cat's Cemetery and can be visited at Edith Gaertner Park, at Alameda Duque de Caxias, 78, right in the center of Blumenau.

Estas estações geodésicas são materializadas, em sua grande maioria, como monumentos de concreto que recebem uma chapa de metal no seu topo identificando a respectiva matrícula, o IBGE e o tipo de estação. As coordenadas, altitudes e/ou gravidade destas estações são determinadas por meio da aplicação de procedimentos e modelos geodésicos de alta precisão, compatíveis com as finalidades a que se destinam, e estão disponíveis através do Relatório de Estação Geodésica (REG) gerado pela aplicação.
O SGB é composto por:
Rede Altimétrica
- Determinada através de estações do tipo Referência de Nível - RN
Rede Planialtimétrica
- Determinada através dos seguintes tipos de estações:
- Estação de Satélite – SAT, podendo ser classificado em GPS ou DOPPLER.
- Estação de Poligonal – EP
- Vértice de Triangulação – VT
Rede Gravimétrica
- Determinada através de estações do tipo Gravimétrica - EG

Brazilian Geodetic System (SGB)
What is it
Set of information about the reference stations, which constitute the Brazilian Geodetic System (SGB), implanted since 1939.
