L'agglomération antique d'Epomanduodurum date de la période gallo-romaine et va connaitre son apogée au Ier siècle de notre ère.
Des fouilles archéologiques ont permis de déterminer la présence de quartier d'habitation, de temples et sanctuaires, de thermes et d'espaces funéraires.
Seul vestige encore visible de l'ancienne cité le théâtre, construit entre le Ier et IIIe siècle. Il fait partie d'un vaste espace cultuel de dix hectares. Il est le plus important de Gaule avec ses 142 m de diamètre et le second pour sa capacité à accueillir 18 000 spectateurs sur 4 étages de gradins.

The ancient agglomeration of Epomanduodurum dates from the Gallo-Roman period and will reach its peak in the 1st century AD.
Archaeological digs made it possible to determine the presence of residential quarters, temples and shrines, thermal baths and funerary spaces.
Only vestiges still visible of the old city, the theater built between the 1st and 3rd century. It is part of a vast area of worship of ten hectares. It is the most important of Gaul with its 142 m in diameter and the second for its capacity to accommodate 18 000 spectators on 4 bleachers.

In the coordinates of the cache, in the Orchestra, take a picture of yourself (to remain anonymous, show your face is optional) or a personal object.
The bleachers will be in the background and the picture will appear in your log.
You are in a theater, you can stage if you wish!
