This virtual cache is in the Kruger National Park close to Phabeni Entrance Gate.
Please note that you are permitted to alight from your car here to visit the ruins, but it is an unprotected area and dangerous animals may be present. Be cautious, and if in doubt, ask the ranger (who's normally there) to accompany you.
These are the ruins of the 19th century trading post of the Portuguese trader Joao Albasini. There are information boards providing information about this adventurous businessman who braved wild animals and disease to trade here.
