This is an offset multi cache themed around the War Memorial for the villages of Rewe and Netherexe. The cache is not hidden on or near the memorial but is less than 5 minutes away.
The memorial was erected around 1920 and is unusual because it incorporates a much older (possibly medieval) base. It is no surprise, therefore, that this memorial has the look and feel of a waymarker from centuries ago.
The cache is hidden at N 50° 47.XXX' W 3° 29.YYY'. To find it you need to locate a 'no entry' sign and a postbox very close to the memorial itself.
- If the post box is EX5 359 the northings are 104
- If the post box is EX5 378 the northings are 252
- If the post box is EX5 395 the northings are 418
- If the sign was manufactured in 2009 the westings are 424
- If the sign was manufactured in 2012 the westings are 588
- If the sign was manufactured in 2016 the westings are 622
The cache will be a short walk away along a road, you are looking for a clip lock box. Depending on the time of year there may be vegetation between you and the cache. After adding your name to the logbook please take the time to conceal this one from view.
