Estas ruínas pertenceram a uma comunidade romana que habitou a zona, inserida no grupo de comunas que circundavam a Olissipo, com atividade predominantemente agrícola. Tal evidência é confirmada pela reconstituição do maior celeiro que se conhece na Península Ibérica.
Já antes dos romanos, na idade do Ferro, tinha esta zona sido habitada por sedentários que se dedicaram à agricultura, fatos provados pelas evidências encontradas neste local, a Norte destas ruínas.
A Câmara de Cascais fez aqui um trabalho de identificação e conservação das ruínas a todo o nível notável, inaugurado em 22 de setembro de 2018, com base nos estudos e orientações dos arqueólogos Guilherme Cardoso e José de Encarnação.

A Cache - Introdução

THE CACHE IS NOT IN THE GIVEN COORDINATES
In these ruins lived a Roman community that inhabited the area, inserted in the group of communes that surrounded Olissipo, with predominantly agricultural activity. Such evidence is confirmed by the reconstitution of the largest granary known in the Iberian Peninsula.
Even before the Romans, during the Iron Age, this area had been inhabited by sedentary who have dedicated themselves to agriculture, mainly, easily proved by the evidence found in this location, at the North of these ruins.
The Cascais Municipality made a remarkable work of identification and maintenance of the ruins, opened on September 22, 2018, based on the studies and orientations of the archaeologists Guilherme Cardoso and José de Encarnação.
