The Allegheny County Park Rangers, REI, TrailPGH, and PAGA are teaming up again this summer for a series of trail work days that seek to maintain and improve trails throughout the Allegheny County Park system. On Saturday, July 13th, we will join forces for our third trail work day for the 2019 summer/fall season. This time we will head to Hartwood Acres and work on the White Trail. We will meet at 8:45 AM in the Hartwood Acres Mansion parking lot and will work from 9 AM to 12 Noon. Light refreshments will be available before and a pizza lunch will be provided afterwards.
We will be working on improving the White trail.
Be sure to wear sturdy boots or shoes and clothes that you don’t mind getting muddy.
Please log your Will Attend here and register with REI on their website. This will give REI and TrailsPGH a rough idea of how many folks to expect so they can make sure they have enough tools , gloves, and food afterwards.
If you want to help at one of the other county parks later this summer, the schedule is below:
July 27th at Round Hill
August 10th at Deer Lakes
August 24th at South Park
September 14th at White Oak
September 28th at Boyce
October 12th at Harrison Hills
We hope to see you out to help us with this project or another project later this summer!
