There are rumors of a mythical type creature that wonders the Loch Raven Reservoir area, the Loch Raven ManGoose! As of this date there have only been possible sightings of this creature with no hard evidence other than the occasional fatigued wandering geocacher reporting what they thought could be ManGoose tracks.
The purpose of this event is to gather with fellow geocachers to formulate a plan to track down this creature and put the rumors to rest! After we have congregated and fueled ourselves for the day, we will leave the event in pursuit and hopefully capture the ManGoose. If you would like to join this quest, after the event, we will be heading to the Loch Raven Fishing center to obtain some vessels to begin our search. Each vessel can hold 3 occupants and the standard fee is $36 with the extra battery. Hopefully all that would like to participate can help split the cost between all.
I have discovered some information that has lead me to the first area that we will be searching, the most obvious and the last place the ManGoose was spotted, GOOSE ISLAND! After Goose Island we will turn our searches to the shores around the reservoir until the ManGoose is found!
