In Appalachia Bay Recreation Area on Keystone Lake west of Tulsa.

Please, please, please hide the cache back really good. The
Coordinates to the cache are new again. The conatainer is now a 30
caliber ammo box. The new contents are, a log book, two 1945 P 40%
silver war nickels, a 58 caliber civil war bullet, a 45/70 Indian
wars bullet, 69 caliber musket ball, an old marble, and a few
pistol musket balls. I have also left some copies of the 1958 quad
map showing Appalachia, Keystone, and the Cimmaron River before
they built the lake. I have even left a few copies of some map
overlays of the 1958 map on the newer 1970s map showing where the
old towns were. Please hide the cache back really good. The cache
is located in the old ghost town of Appalachia. The town started
about 1900 and was abandoned around 1960 when they built Keystone
Lake. From the cache you can look south across the lake at a boat
ramp. That is where the town of Keystone used to be. The story I
read was that Keystone was in Indian Territory which was a dry
Territory and Appalachia was in Oklahoma Territory where you could
drink. There was a footbridge across the Cimmaron River where the
buggys, cars, and horses were parked on the Keystone side and they
would cross the bridge to Appalachia to visit all of the Saloons.
On the way back across the bridge some would fall in the River and
the bridge was named after a famous temperance lady in Kansas.
Anyway the cache is in a tupperware container. The original
contents is a log book, camera, 1958 map showing Appalachia and
Keystone. There are some relics that people would have used in
Appalachia. A 1944 Silver Half Dollar, 1954 Silver Half Dollar, a
1938 Chauffeur's Badge, a few Marbles, and an old CarHart Button
W/suspender and Belt Buckles. It is a little more than a 3/4 mile
walk in, put the parking lot coordinates in your machine because it
is easy to get turned around out there. You also might want to look
at maps of the area. There is a road you can walk down most of the
way then it's cross country and you can't beeline it because there
is a sea of poison Ivy. Take plenty of water and watch out for the
4 wheelers and dirt bikes on the weekend.
