Today is ” Love a Tree Day ”!

According to the website Holidayinsights.com, today is ”Love a Tree Day”. Although they admitted they could not find an origin for the day or even the creator, and it’s a couple weeks after the traditional Arbor Day celebration at the end of April (although Maine which does it for the full 3rd week in May so we're good there), I don’t see a problem in showing a little bit of love towards one of Mother Nature’s nicest contributions to geocaching.
Trees are a good thing. They give us shade, comfort and warmth. They give off oxygen, too. There are many, many benefits provided by trees. We can hide caches in them too. They can provide a variety of caching experiences from a simple pill bottle in roots or a split in the trunk. And then there's the nice fun climb of 40-50 feet in the air to fill that Fizzy Grid. But of course who doesn’t love those nanos in a big ol’ bushy pine… yeah.
So, you have a good reason to love a tree or two. And what better way to toss some shade their way than to go out caching today and find some tree hides!

Quote of the day – “I looked up my family tree and found three dogs using it.” - Rodney Dangerfield

The event??
Breakfast With The Gang. Breakfast With The Geocachers. Bulging Waistlines Totally Grew. Breakfast With The Goofballs. Beware When Travis Geocaches. Breakfast With Team Geochef. Best Way To Geocache. Breakfast While Talking Geocaching. BWTG="Brian-Wussy; Travis-Greatest".

Everyone is welcome at the event!

What Do I Bring?
Bring a good, hearty appetite and be ready to share some of the best memories you have of geocaching; including, but not limited to, best caches, best events, best hospital story, best encounter with local law enforcement authorities, etc.

Celebrating a Milestone?
We want to know! Post it on the event page and you'll be acknowledged here as an official part of this event's history!

What do I do AFTER the event?
If you don't have to go to work or be somewhere else, we suggest you get out and cache!!! Either alone or with one of the groups that will, undoubtedly, be formed before, during or after the event. A great geocaching day can start here!
