After the end of World War 2 and the beginning of the cold war, a series of Observation posts were built across the country, manned by personnel of the Royal Observer Corps. These posts were built starting in 1956 and were finally closed down in 1991
This cache will take you to one of those abandoned posts.
There were a large amount of them, some of which were demolished, some are on private land - one or 2 have been restored to how they were during that Cold War period.
I had considered making this a puzzle, but decided to make it open to as many cachers as I could
- A Torch, possible a head torch for the climb
- Tell someone where you are going, even if not attempting it alone
- Bring a fully charged phone, not that it will work down there but it will help while you are up-top for any emergencies
- Use extra care when wet, the climb can be very slippery
- Some rope may be handy
