Geocache Description:

In the same county as the Lockhart Loot cache is a reminder of the source of some other loot, oil.

Luling refers to itself as "Oil City" and the many wells in and around the city testify to that title. When you get to this virtual cache you'll find a few artefacts relating to the oil industry in Luling and even an old settlers house that was relocated to this spot. There are more bronze markers here than you can shake a stick at.

In order to confirm your visit to this virtual cache you must supply an answer to the following question. In front of the oil derrick a plaque proclaims a memorial to Edgar Davis. Look for the marker on the stonework with two pillars in front of the oil derrick. What group installed the plaque? You can auto-confirm your cache find by visiting the following web page:
