As if any of us needed another excuse to get muddy and dirty...
Please join the Park District of Highland Park, the CIty of Highland Park and me 9-11 AM Friday, May 17 while we remove some nasty buckthorn from along the Robert McClory/Green Bay Road bike trail. In its place, we will be planting native pollinator species. The City and Park District will provide all necessary materials and tools. Please dress appropriately for the weather and for gardening. The posted coordinates are for parking. The planting location is approximately ¼ mile north of the lot along the bike trail.
The Park District and the City will be on hand until 12 noon. You are welcome to stay until then.
