Geocache Description:


Champagne Beach is located on the island of Dominica in Caribbean Sea south of Roseau. This beach was named "Champagne Beach" because of small gas bubbles continuously rise from the volcanic sea floor creating fantastic underwater scenery, which is with combination of crystal clear water and extensive marine life is perfect for snorkeling and diving. The beach itself is very rocky with black volcanic sand in spots.

To find the logbook of the geocache you need to dive into the marine life. Find the answers by exploring the Champange Reef along the Champagne Beach.

Look from the Listing coordinates to the rocks (195°), this is your direction for collection of the answers.

  • How many rocks surrounded by water you can see? A=
  • What is the distance between those rocks? ~60m -> B=4 / ~100m -> B=6 / ~200m -> B=8
  • Snorkeling and diving further you will see the bubles. What is the size of the bubbles? very small <1mm -> C=9 / small 1mm-25mm -> C=8 / large 25mm-100mm C=9
    Continue snorkeling and diving further, always samme direction. You will find remains of a sunken ship, ~300 years ago.
