Creation Celebration: Designing Earthcaches
This event is being placed in conjunction with the Groundspeak Cache Carnival Celebration. This event is different from other events you may have attended as it is designed to instruct attendees on how to design an informative and unique Earthcache. The CO* of this event will provide a lesson plan on how to design, submit, and publish ECs! This event will follow the outline below and hopefully at the end you will be more informed on the process to create an Earthcache!
- Who: Any and all Geocachers
- What: An informative Presentation on Earthcache creation
- Where: Heritage Coffee House
- When: 1645-1800 on 08 APR 19
- Why: To inspire the creation of more Earthcaches in our geologically unique town!
Planned Topics
The topics that will be included in this presentation include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Selecting a unique and appropriate Geological Feature
- Including a segment on what features aren't allowed and why!
- Building a lesson plan
- Why a captivating description is helpful!
- Obtaining Permission
- Sometimes this is more difficult than you think!
- Crafting appropriate logging tasks
- Provide an opportunity to showcase learning
- Site Specific
- Common Pitfalls in the Reviewer Process
- Earthcaching Stories!
- Answering Questions!
