Geocache Description:

06 April 2019, 18:00 - 20:00

This event carries on the grand tradition of past BYOP events - no, not Bring Your Own PEN, but Bring Your Own PUZZLE! ...Except this time, in honor of the Creation Celebration, the focus is going to be on how to MAKE your own puzzle!

Saturday, April 6 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Panera Bread
531 Solomon Way, Freehold, NJ

Do you think of those blue question marks on the map as falling under the "avoid," "scary," or "how the heck do people come up with those" columns? Ever found yourself wondering if you, too, could set up a similar challenge or conundrum for your fellow cachers to enjoy puzzling over - but not sure where or how to start? Or even just looking to add some new puzzle creation and/or solution methods to your bag of tricks? Then this is the event for you!

The idea here, as with past BYOP puzzle parties, is that we'll all get together and do a roundtable discussion about puzzles - with an emphasis this time on how to CREATE your own puzzles. And while we're at it, we can talk about some of the interesting puzzles you've solved (or not solved) recently. And of course we can always talk about Geocaching in general!

The goal is not to spoil puzzles, but to learn and collaborate to make us all better puzzle creators and solvers. No purchases necessary to be part of the fun and good times!

And as an added bonus, I plan to throw back the curtain and explain the creation process on a couple of the puzzles I've made myself. Particularly those from which, based on my experience devising and maintaining them, I feel I've learned a lot about what works - and what doesn't! - when it comes to effective puzzle creation.

Please log a "will attend" with the size of your group, so we can let the restaurant know how many people to expect. Thank you, and we hope to see you there!
