I wanted to host an event to talk about filmmaking in geocaching as well as the Geocaching International Film Festival, and what better time than as part of the Creation Celebration push by Groundspeak.
Please attend in order to learn, to meet other geocachers, and to earn the Creation Celebration souvenir for your profile.
I started filmmaking in 2017 by entering the Geocaching International Film Festival, and my short film "A Travel Bug's Life" was a finalist that year. Since then I've created a YouTube channel called Geo Elmo Geocaching and have created short geocaching films, some of which are part of puzzle caches that I've hidden. While I consider myself an amateur filmmaker, I have learned a lot in the last couple of years about GIFF and filmmaking in general.
Some topics I plan to discuss:
- What is filmmaking?
- First steps in filmmaking
- Camera
- TOTT
- Audio
- Lighting
- Music
- Editing
- GIFF
If you want to learn about GIFF and filmmaking, I hope to see you at this event. I'll talk about what I've learned over the last couple of years and answer questions that you have.
Don't forget to log your Will Attend!
