Geocache Description:

This cache is part of the Fizzy Fest 10K series.

There is nothing hidden at the posted coordinates, but you could probably pick up some boxes there should you be in need of some. You must solve the puzzle to learn the cache location. Note new hide hint as of 8/13/21.

I am tickled to be able to join in the fun of the Fizzymagic 10K celebration, and only wish that I could travel across the country to be there in person. I hope that, as he celebrates this milestone, Fizzymagic will enjoy thinking back over all of his caching adventures. I’ve been doing a lot of that recently myself. Here in New York times like the cold and dreary winter we’ve just had are not great for caching but are well-suited for both working on puzzles and taking trips down memory lane. Lately I’ve had a blast going back through the most recent Venona “activities.” It was so cool sorting out what to do after that first PHOENIX popped up, and I loved experiencing all that followed: the complex mental gymnastics, waiting to hear the results of the group expeditions, and even the occasional cross words from the cantankerous Russian himself.

For this puzzle, you’ll need to use each of the keys below together with its proper lock to get at the contents of the boxes, which will provide you with the solution you’re looking for. Each key will open a different lock. You should keep the boxes in the order presented (reading from left to right, top to bottom). Each key consists of 8 characters in the form of MM/DD/YY, and they have been arranged in a logical order which, however, is not the same as the order of the boxes themselves.

For an extremely useful hint in performing the final step of the puzzle, identify the specific source material and enter it (pluralized, no spaces) into certitude.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
