CARNIVAL OF A CAPTIVATING CUNNINGLY COORDINATED CLASSIC CACHE CONTAINER COLLECTION
We are gathering to share, compare, and just downright trick and frustrate our fellow cachers with some really creative caches. We can consider this event as an educational and storytelling workshop where we share ideas about creative containers
There is nothing better than finding a nasty well hidden in plain sight cache. Those are the ones where you find yourself thinking inside “damm I cannot believe I came back here 3 times, and the thing was staring at me all the time”. It is a good container if the terrain rating is 1, but when you find it you find yourself saying “I hate this cache, but I just have to give it a favourite”. These are the ones that are just a bit different to those we see often. Yes we love the regular caches, but every now and again it’s nice to find something that is just different.
The fun part for the CO is to place a cache where the area is teeming with red herrings, then to read the logs where you can feel the frustration of the cacher, and then the euphoria of the find. If you were there you might have got a slap and a hug at the same time
These are the caches you want to discuss at events, and have a good laugh when hearing the stories and experiences fellow cachers’ had finding that specific cache. That is surely one of the main reasons we love this crazy hobby. These are the caches that you tell non-cachers about, that causes them to shake their heads, smile, then turn and walk away. Don’t we just love that.
