This is the Awards Event for the KCC Creation Celebration Pill Bottle Cache Contest. It started on Monday March 25, 2019 and concluded on Friday September 27, 2019. We are now gathering to recognize the winners, enjoy each other's company, talk Geocaching, and trade trackables. Everyone is invited to this event at The Bank at 431 North Street in Taft from 11 AM to 1 PM. Sorry I had to postpone the awards event a week, I had an opportunity to make a Northern California run to finish the KCCS: National Historic Landmarks in CA Challenge that I couldn't pass up.
Before this event, come over early and earn a souvenir at the Taft Cache In Trash Out®, Season 2 2019 I from 8 AM to 11 AM. Come to Taft on Saturday October 5 for plenty of exciting Geocaching action. We hope to see you here!
If you don't have time to find all of the Taft caches you would have liked, join us again on November 9 for another double event Saturday for the Taft Cache In Trash Out®, Season 2 2019 II followed immediately by Taft's Geocaching International Film Festival Show for another souvenir. And if that wasn't enough, you also have the epic and one of a kind Taft Shooter's Challenge 2019 on Saturday November 30, 2019. Cache Kern County!

Kern County Cachers' Pill Bottle Cache Contest
Here is the original contest description from the kickoff event.
The Kern County Cachers are challenging you to plant your best pill bottle cache. Pill bottle containers come in many shapes an sizes and we will not be too picky as long as it could be a pill bottle container. Think outside of the box and have fun!
Caches can not be published before 12:00 AM on Monday March 25, 2019. You can plant as many caches as you want as long as they are pill bottle caches. All caches must be planted in Kern County.
Caches will be judged in the following categories. Caches can be considered for any and all combinations of categories.
- Most Favorites: The cache with the most favorites wins. Ties will be broken by the highest favorites/premium logs percentage listed on the cache page.
- Highest Favorites Percentage: The cache with the highest favorites/premium logs percentage wins. Ties will be broken by the highest favorite points for each cache. Caches must be kept active, so no getting one favorite and archiving your cache. Caches disabled for a long period of time will no longer qualify.
- Rojo's choice: A cache the elrojo14 just feels like is great and needs to be recognized, but didn't win in any of the other categories.
The contest will run from March 25, 2019 until 11:59 PM on Friday September 27, 2019. The awards ceremony will be held on the night of Saturday September 28, 2019 and a new event will be published for the awards ceremony.
In order to join the contest, just put the following text in the name of your cache, "KCC PBCC". Then once your cache publishes, post a note to this cache with a link to your cache. We will add them to the KCC Pill Bottle Cache Contest Caches Bookmark List as we find them. You do not have to attend this event to participate. You simply need to plant a pill bottle cache with "KCC PBCC" in the title.
