Number 713 in a series of caches where a red telephone box is in close proximity to a post box.
The only rules are that they have to be able to be photographed together, be not more than 100’ apart and the phone boxes have to be red.
Our second addition to the Fine Pair Series. This cache has a twin in Puddington, Cheshire. The coordinates take you to the post box and disused phone box with parking very nearby opposite the church.
On the post box you will need to find the numbers starting BN make these ABCD. Using the word at the top of the phone box, E is the number of E's in the word and F is the number of consonants.

Westmeston is a hamlet located 6km south southeast of Burgess Hill and 10 km west of Lewes, on the northern slopes of the South Downs. From the highest areas of about 800ft above sea level near Ditchling Beacon, the land drops steeply to about 325ft and then undulates further north to an average of about 220ft The parish (pop. circa 300) covers 3.27 square miles in a long narrow strip, over chalk Downland in the south through wooded and arable Wealden land to the north. This historical arrangement, typical of neighbouring parishes, provided each with areas for grazing, forestry and raising of crops, with the main settlements positioned around St Martins Church. (See Church Micro 9899 Westmeston GC6QBYE) Manors of Westmeston & Middleton The manor of Westmeston was held before the Conquest by Countess Gueda, and after the Normans landed it was passed to William de Warenne by Robert de Pierpoint. Closely associated with Westmeston is Middleton, first mentioned at the end of the eleventh century, when the tithes from it were given by William de Warenne I to the priory of Lewes. It was recorded as a demesne manor of the Earls of Warenne in 1296 and 1327 before passing to the Earls of Arundel, and stayed with them until the death of Thomas, Earl of Arundel, in 1415. It then was assigned to the Duchess of Norfolk and eventually to Sir John Jeffrey, chief baron of the Exchequer, who died in 1578.In 1637 it was sold to William Michelborne of Stanmer for £350.
