Clean Up Australia Day originated in January 1989, and is now held on the first Sunday of every March.
This years location was chosen when I was with Barnzy12 searching for a newly published cache within the park and I was rather stunned at just how much rubbish was within the tiny park.
Join us on Clean Up Australia Day on Sunday 3 March 2019, kicking off at 10:00am in David Gregg Park on Hanbury Loop, Success. Resources are already provided thanks to the City of Cockburn, Clean Up Australia Day and Keep Australia Beautiful WA, however, feel free to bring tools and resources at your own desire. We will have bags, disposable gloves and a sharps kit (which we hopefully will not require).
A sausage sizzle will also be held, so please indicate numbers in your will attend logs so I can appropriately cater. Those who have vegetarian and vegan requirements are welcome to bring your own food (and if required utensils) and use the barbeque facilities to cook.
Please note that toilet facilities are not available within the park. A hat and sunscreen are also recommended to be brought along. I will come equipped with an esky or two filled with plenty of water bottles and soft drink.
