Number 796 in a series of caches where a red telephone box is in close proximity to a post box.
The only rules are that they have to be able to be photographed together, be not more than 100’ apart and the phone boxes have to be red.
A quick and easy addition to the 'A Fine Pair' series in the lovely little hamlet of Coed-y-paen, close to the Lladegfedd Reservoir, near Usk/Pontypool. The village really is very small with only a few houses but has a still-thriving pub that is often busy.
You will need to park up next to the entrance to the church (and postbox) which is only a few feet away but tuck in nicely as it's a small road. The phonebox, like many is now out of use as a phonebox with the phone being replaced by a book rack where you can buy or exchange books, but it has been taken over by the villagers and is kept in good condition.
The Fine Pair series was originally started by wizardsmum but is now managed by mattd2k
If anybody would like to place 'A Fine Pair' of their own please do. I would just ask that you first visit www.afinepair.co.uk to request a number to avoid any duplication
mattd2k also keeps a public Bookmark List of this series. Once your cache is published please contact him via geocachingafinepair@gmail.com to have yours added
