Lors de travaux de terrassement, un viticulteur de Pierrerue a mis à jour sur ses terres un ancien wagonnet et ses rails qu’il a offert à la commune. Récupérés, restaurés et mis en situation au square de la fontaine, il témoigne de l’exploitation des mines de bauxite situées dans le vallon, en direction de Cazedarnes, au début du XXe siècle.
During earthworks, a winemaker of Pierrerue has unhearth on his land an old wagon and rails that he offered to the town. Recovered, restored and put in situation in the square of the fountain, it testifies to the exploitation of the bauxite mines located in the valley, towards Cazedarnes, at the beginning of the XXe century.
